This interior wall painting project in Clayton, Missouri, is a great example of how thoughtful color and professional craftsmanship can completely transform a space.
It all started with a free in-person estimate from one of our project estimators. After that, the homeowner met with our awesome Color Consultant, Ann Wiegand from Envision Creative Studios, for a complimentary color consultation. Since every wall in the home was originally bright white, she was excited to add warmth, contrast, and some personality throughout. Ann helped her land on a mix of colors that worked well together but still gave each room its unique look and feel.
Once colors were finalized, our team of professional painters got to work, starting with meticulous preparation. Since this was a walls-only project, extra attention was paid to carefully protect all ceilings, trim, flooring, and personal belongings. We used painter’s tape, plastic sheeting, masking paper, and drop cloths throughout the home to ensure clean lines and a spotless worksite.
After prep, we applied two coats of Sherwin-Williams Duration Home in a matte finish across every room. The transformation was immediate. The living room stayed bright and fresh in Decor White, while the dining room featured a cozy Creamery base with an accent wall in Soft Apricot. The hallway gained dimension with a bold pop of Sassy Green.
In the front bedroom, we paired Decor White with a calm accent wall in Drizzle. The master bathroom took on a spa-like atmosphere with Lagoon. The home office added creative energy with Orchid, and the spare bedroom brought warmth with Morning Sun. The guest bathroom was revitalized with the rich, bold hue of Resolute Blue. The kitchen was finished in either Decor White or Creamery, based on final design choices.
